When we started to plan our home building along with wanting to build a pole shed at the same time, we met with Glaus Brothers in Durand. In the winter of 1997 I first met with the Glaus Brothers, I had decided to build a home on my rural property. From the very first meeting I knew who I was going to move forward with on building my dream!
My home was started in May and was completed in mid – September! This after strong 70 MPH straight winds had leveled half the house the day after it was set!
Three years later I had them come back and finish off the lower level. This included a family room, office, full bathroom, and laundry room and work shop. This started the many projects to follow; Glaus Brothers put up my 56’ X 40’ pole barn with a complete mezzanine in the back. In 2008 they put a finished loft in by opening up the attic in my Chalet style home, and this past August I had them come out and add car siding to a wall in the great room.
Through all of my dealings with Glaus Brothers I have had nothing but support, input and there total professionalism every step of the way. They bring that “can do” attitude to every job from the office, Rod & Greg to the actual on site workers. Every one of my projects has been a joy to do, and the big part to that is working with the great Glaus Brothers Team! These guys can do it all!!!

When we decided to build our house we knew local was the way to go! We called Glaus Bros and were able to set up an appointment within a few days. Dave and I were able to find the house of our dreams that first meeting. We were amazed how quickly estimates came back and the ground work was started. Greg asked if we wanted to work with his guys (plumber, electrician etc.), we said yes and that made the whole process run smoothly. We never waited for anyone to show up because they were in contact with each other! I was up at the house daily while Dave made it there about 7 times before we moved in. I had sold my house in Ellsworth in spring of 2014 and was looking to have a small house built on some land near Pepin. After checking with several different builders we stopped in at Glaus Brothers as we had heard good things about them. I had never had a house built so wasn’t sure about the whole process. Greg helped us pick out a blueprint and made the changes to it that we wanted. We decided to use the subcontractors that Glaus Brothers normally work with.
The house was started in May despite having terribly wet weather to work in. Everything went like clockwork, one subcontractor would leave and another one would pull in the driveway to do their work. Rod and Greg were always available to answer any questions we had or solve any problems that arose. The actual setting of the house was very impressive. The crew of Brad, Dave, Paul and Dave worked so well together and are so good at their jobs that in a matter of a couple hours the walls were up and they were ready to start on the roof. I would never build any other way. The house is very well built and is extremely energy efficient.
Everyone that worked on the house was very knowledgeable and courteous and they were very nice people to work with. I would highly recommend Glaus Brothers.
